Specification
Buyers often start from a competitor's can rather than a written spec, and the detail that matters is missing.
We work from a physical sample or from your data sheet and write back the cut style, packing medium, brix band where relevant and pack format so both sides are agreed before anything is made.
Recipe and Taste
A recipe that sells well in one market is too sweet, too salty or too firm in another.
Our R and D and QC team modifies taste and form to your request. Marinade, brine strength and syrup density are set to your market rather than to a house standard.
Pack Format
The wrong can size loses a listing regardless of how good the product is.
Tin formats run from 184G to 3000G and jars from 314ML to 1700ML. We select against your shelf or your portion plan, not against what is easiest to run.
Artwork
Label and carton artwork often arrives late or in a form the printer cannot use.
Artwork is handled from can label through to printed outer carton, strictly in accordance with your requirements, and checked before the print run.
Production
An own-brand quality incident lands on the retailer, not the factory.
Raw material is inspected at collection, all ingredients pass metal detectors, product is sterilised after seaming and every tin and jar is double X-ray scanned before packing.
Inspection
Buyers are asked to take the factory's word for the finished goods.
Any inspection company you designate is accepted to check the goods after production and before shipment.
Shipment
Production plans and shipping plans drift apart and the container misses its slot.
Production and shipment follow the plan you provide, and lines from all three categories can be consolidated into one container.
OEM and Private Label Questions
How much OEM experience does the factory have?
We have many years of OEM experience covering products through to outer packaging, produced strictly to customer requirements and shipped to the customer's own production and shipment plan.
Can you work from a competitor sample?
Yes. Our R and D and QC team can produce to a sample you send or to related data you supply.
Who controls the artwork?
You do. We apply the label and carton artwork you supply and produce strictly in accordance with your requirements.
Can taste and form both be changed?
Yes. Both the taste and the form of the product can be modified according to your request.
Is third-party inspection allowed on private-label runs?
Yes. Any designated inspection company can check the goods after production and before shipment.
