The Film Arrives Flat and Almost Weightless

Air cushion film used for express logistics transport is in roll form before it is inflated, and the volume is very small. One roll contains thousands of inflatable bags but does not occupy much storage space. That is the whole economic argument for the format, and it only works if you have a machine to inflate the film where you pack.

How the Machine Actually Works

The air cushion machine inflates the film and heat seals it immediately afterwards, so the air is firmly sealed into the bag and forms a bubble pack. The result has good cushioning and shock absorption, and filling the gap in the box with it saves more packaging material than wrapping the product in a solid material would.

AWPACK-004 for Smaller Operations

AWPACK-004 runs at 10 meters per minute and can inflate film up to 600 mm wide. That suits a small shop, where the machine runs between orders rather than continuously and where the carton range is narrow.

AWPACK-005 for Factory and Warehouse Volume

AWPACK-005 runs at 28 meters per minute and inflates film up to 800 mm wide, which suits a big factory or a warehouse with high film consumption. It is PLC controlled with a 50.8 mm caliber, runs on AC 220V 50Hz, measures L50 cm by W39 cm by H42 cm and weighs 18 kg, so it still sits on a normal packing bench.

Both Machines Run the Same Film Formats

Both AWPACK-004 and AWPACK-005 can inflate air pillow, air bubble film and air quilt film. The difference between them is speed and maximum width, not what they can produce. If your carton mix is likely to widen, the 800 mm capability is the reason to choose the larger machine even before the volume justifies it.
