POF Shrink Film Questions
Which thickness should I use
Thickness runs 12, 15, 19 and 25 mic. Lighter gauges suit small retail packs, heavier gauges suit bundles and heavier cases. Tell us the pack weight and dimensions and we will confirm.
Will the film crack in cold storage
POF does not embrittle at low temperature after shrinking, which is the main reason packers move to it from PVC.
Does it run on our existing machine
The film is compatible with most shrink wrap equipment, including semi automatic and automatic systems. Send your machine model when you enquire.
What is the difference between center fold and single wound
Center fold is folded in half on the roll for L-bar sealers. Single wound is a flat roll used where the film is wrapped from one side. We supply both, plus shrink bags.
Do you offer perforated film
Yes. Pre-perforated and micro-perforated versions are available where the pack needs to breathe or the customer needs an easy opening point.
Can the film be printed
Yes, printing is available. Send artwork, width and gauge with your enquiry.
