What This Solution Covers
Crude silver at 80-90% purity cannot be sold at bullion price and cannot be used where conductivity matters. This solution takes silver from scrap, old jewelry or recovered slag through electrolytic refining to 99.9-99.99% purity, and captures the gold and copper that come with it.
Step By Step From Solution To Metal
Assay the feed
Establish the purity of the silver you are starting from; the machines are specified for 80-90% silver.
Choose the capacity
3kg/24h for a workshop, 10kg/24h for steady scrap flow, 50kg/24h for production, 50-250kg/24h for industrial output.
Prepare the electrolyte
10% dilute nitric acid in every case, which cuts both the cost and the emission against traditional acid refining.
Load the anode
Silver granules or plates go into titanium baskets; the 50kg machine takes ten baskets and a 50-200 kg charge in a 500 litre bath.
Electrolyse
Silver dissolves and redeposits on the titanium cathode as 99.9-99.99% metal.
Manage the deposit
Workshop machines are stripped by hand; the 50kg machine has an integrated automatic scraper and the 250kg machine runs fully automatically.
Collect the anode mud
Gold, copper and platinum separate into the anode mud for their own recovery route.
Filter and reuse
Electrolyte filtration on the production machines raises deposit purity; clean high grade feed allows the solution to be reused several times.
