The Rod Feels Gritty or Sticks
Almost always worn bushings rather than a bent rod. Clean the rod and inspect the bushing bore. Replace bushings as a set across the table. If the rod itself is bent replace the rod because straightening is not reliable.
Players Keep Cracking
Impact damage concentrates at the foot and the pin hole. In heavy commercial play this is normal wear. Hold spare players in the matching colourway and replace them before they break rather than after.
The Table Rocks
Check the floor and adjust the levelling feet before suspecting the cabinet. If the cabinet itself is twisted check whether it was fully tightened at one corner during assembly before the rest was brought up.
Balls Roll Off Line on a Pool Table
Check the level along both diagonals first. If the level is good look at the cloth for a ridge at a seam or a worn track at the break spot. Cloth and cushion rubber are both catalogue items.
Cushions Feel Dead
Rubber hardens with age and temperature cycling. There is no repair. Replace the cushion rubber and take the opportunity to re-cloth at the same time.
The Air Hockey Puck Slows Down
Blocked perforations are the cause far more often than a failing blower. Clean the playfield holes thoroughly. If airflow is still weak after cleaning check the blower and the air path.
The Scorer Stops Working
Check the supply and the connection first. Electronic scorers are available as a standalone replacement part so a confirmed failure is a swap rather than a service call.
