Billiard Tables
The published WEFOR billiard sizes are 7 ft and 8 ft. The table footprint is only half the calculation. You need cue clearance on all four sides. A 7 ft table in a room that only fits the table itself will have shots that cannot be played.
Soccer Tables
The published soccer cabinet sizes are 90CM 1.2M 1.3M and 1.4M. The clearance requirement here is rod travel. Through rods need space to extend on the far side. Telescopic rods stop inside the cabinet which is why they are specified where a table sits against a wall.
Table Tennis
Table tennis needs run off space at both ends far more than it needs width. A folding and rolling frame lets a room be used for something else between sessions which is why schools and community centres prefer them.
Access Route
Measure the doorway the corridor the staircase turn and the lift before the table is ordered. A flat pack carton solves most of this. A slate bed table does not and needs the route planned before the container is booked.
Levelling
Almost no floor is truly level. Adjustable levelling feet are fitted so the table can be trued on site. Budget the time to do it properly because a table that is out of level will be blamed on the manufacturer for its whole service life.
