Weekly
Brush the billiard cloth in one direction from the baulk end. Wipe cabinet surfaces and rails. Check the ball count and puck count. Check that players are intact and that no rod has developed obvious play. Clear debris from an air hockey playfield.
Monthly
Check the table level in both directions. Check and tighten cabinet fasteners. Inspect bushings for wear and rods for straightness. Check cue tips and replace damaged cues. Test the scorer. Clean the air hockey perforations properly rather than superficially.
Every Six Months
Inspect cushion rubber for hardening and dead spots. Inspect cloth at the break spot and along the rails. Replace worn bushings and rod caps as a set. Review the spares stock against what was used in the period.
Annually or by Play Hours
A venue table played daily will need cloth attention well before a home table played weekly. Plan re-cloth and cushion replacement by play hours rather than by calendar. Do cloth and cushions in the same visit.
Stock to Hold
A practical on site kit is a set of bushings a set of rod caps players in each colour a spare rod balls pucks and pushers cue tips and one spare scorer. Every item on that list is a catalogue line.
