Silicone is the default and why

Most models here ship on silicone. It is durable, washable and cheap to mould in colour. The 1.85 inch calling watch specifies 70 degree hardness silicone at 22mm width, and hardness is worth specifying: too soft and the strap sags, too hard and it marks the wrist.

TPU on the large band

The 1.7 inch fitness band uses a TPU strap on a plastic body at 40g. TPU holds a matte finish better than silicone over long wear, which matters on a band worn continuously through a programme.

Nylon weave on the screenless tracker

The screenless tracker offers silicone or nylon woven straps. The weave is what lets that product read as an accessory rather than a fitness device, and it is the reason it sells into formal and client facing settings.

Metal in the case, not the strap

Zinc alloy with ABS appears on T32S and UQ76, and the air pump blood pressure watch uses metal alloy with PC, ABS and medical grade 316 stainless steel in contact areas. Medical grade 316 is specified where a device is worn all day by people prone to skin reactions.

Standard widths create SKU variety

A 22mm standard width, as on the 1.85 inch model, means straps become a second sellable item and customers can change the look without a new watch. Custom strap tooling should be reserved for designs like the UQ76 two-tone programme where the strap is the product's identity.
