3 MW Ground Mount Solar Plant in Vietnam
A plant developer building a 3 MW ground-mounted array on cleared land in Vietnam. The site is flat, fully exposed, and bordered by tree line on two sides. This is the largest installation in the TITAN X POWER published project portfolio.
- Client: A Vietnamese ground-mount solar plant developer
- Capacity: 3 MW
- Country: Vietnam
What Made This Project Difficult
- Thousands of modules to install without the parts count running away
- Full exposure - no building to shelter the array from wind-driven debris or hail
- Module deliveries had to follow the civil works rather than arrive in one block
- Long unshaded rows make stringing errors expensive to find at commissioning
Client Background
A plant developer building a 3 MW ground-mounted array on cleared land in Vietnam. The site is flat, fully exposed, and bordered by tree line on two sides. This is the largest installation in the TITAN X POWER published project portfolio.
Project Challenge
At 3 MW the project lives or dies on cost per installed watt. Every additional module in a row is another set of clamps, another pair of connectors and more crew time in the sun, and the civil works and the module deliveries had to stay in step across a long build programme.
Our Solution
High-wattage TTM modules on the 210 mm cell platform, so each row reached its target capacity with fewer modules, fewer clamps and fewer connections. The 3.2 mm AR-coated semi-tempered front glass was the right specification for a fully exposed site, and the IP68 junction box handles the dust and humidity of an open plot.
Manufacturing Process
Modules were produced in batches on the automated line - cell sorting, stringing, lay-up, lamination, framing and junction box bonding - then flash-tested and sorted into power bins so that each delivered batch was consistent rather than mixed.
Supply Chain Coordination
Container releases were planned at 558 pieces per 40HQ and staged against the construction programme, so the site received modules in the order the rows were being built rather than storing thousands of panels on open ground.
Quality Control
Every module was flash-tested and power-binned before packing. Glass, frame and junction box seals were inspected, and crates were sealed and marked before loading.
Final Result
A 3 MW ground-mounted array built out in long fixed-tilt rows across the site, with the high-output module platform keeping parts count and row labour down.
Customer Benefit
Fewer, higher-power modules per row meant less clamping hardware and fewer electrical connections to make and commission, and staged delivery meant the site never became a module warehouse.
