15W Qi Charging Built Into Leather, Fabric, Felt and Bamboo
Putting a charging coil under a soft surface is the part that goes wrong. It goes wrong when the module is not sealed and someone wipes the mat, when the coil sits where the mouse travels, and when the surface material detunes the coupling.
Output and compatibility
15W Qi across the range, stepping down adaptively to 10W, 7.5W and 5W to match what the device requests. Compatible with Qi smartphones including iPhone 8 and later and Android Qi models, and with wireless earbuds such as AirPods Pro.
Sealing
Charging modules on the fabric desk mats are waterproof-sealed, so the surface can be wiped daily with a wrung-out damp cloth without reaching the electronics. This is what makes the mats usable on hot desks that are cleaned between users.
Zone placement
On dual-zone and 4-in-1 layouts the charging area sits clear of the mouse travel path. The zone position can be moved within the mat layout when agreed at design stage.
Device limits
Charging is specified for smartphones up to 6.7in and wireless earbuds. Qi-capable small tablets to 7in charge on the bamboo module design; larger tablets use the stand function without charging.
Certification
FCC and CE apply to the wireless charging modules. Certificate copies are available on request.
