Cleaning and Care by Material: A One-Page Sheet for Your End Users
Six materials, six routines. Written so it can be reproduced in a user card or an intranet page.
Faux leather and leather-textured composite
Dry soft cloth daily. For light stains, a damp cloth wrung out, then dry immediately. No chemical cleaners - they age the surface. No prolonged water contact.
Full-grain, crazy horse and time-tanned leather
No conditioning needed. Dry soft cloth. Avoid prolonged water exposure and direct sunlight. Expect patina to develop from one month and settle by three; this is the material working, not a defect.
Suede and suede-feel leather
Dry soft brush, not a cloth. For light stains, a damp cloth wrung out, then dry away from direct sun. Never soak.
Fabric and water-resistant fabric
Dry cloth daily. A wrung-out damp cloth for stains. Where the charging module is waterproof-sealed the surface can be wiped daily; do not soak the mat in any case.
Felt
Dry brush for dust. A damp cloth for light stains, then dry. Felt does not shed or deform under this routine.
Bamboo and solid wood
Dry soft cloth along the grain. For stains, a cloth wrung out until barely damp, then dry immediately. Prolonged moisture deforms bamboo and can lift a wood finish.
Food and oil marks
On leather, wipe promptly with a wrung-out damp cloth and a very small amount of neutral detergent, then let it dry. This is the only case where detergent is used, and it does not damage the leather or the embossed logo.
