Salt Spray Test for Corrosion Resistance
This validates IP67 and IP68 ratings. Check that the housing material (e.g. 304 stainless, 6063 aluminum) and finish (e.g. powder coating) are suitable for the deployment region’s climate.
Thermal Cycling for Extreme Environments
The high and low temperature alternating hot and humid chamber runs 16 cycles between -40°C and +50°C or +105°C. This confirms the lamp operates within its stated temperature range and maintains sealing integrity.
