The specification problem

Interior and facade projects often want a timber or masonry face in places where timber and masonry are ruled out by fire, moisture or weight requirements. Printed steel gives the appearance on a steel substrate.

Why printed rather than laminated

A laminate is added on top of a finished panel and can lift at a formed edge. On PCM steel the pattern is printed into the coating stack, under a clear varnish, so forming acts on the coating rather than on a film edge.

Standard and custom patterns

Wood, brick, stone and camouflage patterns are standard. All patterns can be custom made, so a project specific timber or stone reference can be matched instead of being approximated.

Practical formats

Base metal 0.2mm to 1.2mm and width 800mm to 1500mm cover most sandwich panel and roll forming lines. Coils ship on a 508mm or 610mm inner diameter up to 8 MT.
