Oman Destination Magnet Programme
Oman draws two very different visitor groups: culture and heritage travellers arriving through Muscat, and nature travellers heading for the turtle beaches and the desert camps. A single souvenir design cannot serve both.

The Challenge
Fill a destination rack with five designs that do not compete with each other, cover more than one shelf price, and still read as one country range from across a shop.
Buyer Pain Points
- A rack of near-identical camel magnets that gives a visitor no reason to choose
- National emblem designs that lose their detail once moulded
- One price point only, so there is nothing to trade a customer up or down to
- Designs that look unrelated when displayed together
How the Range Was Built
Split the range by visitor type
The khanjar and flag designs target heritage and national identity. The turtle and caravan designs target nature and desert tourism. The cartoon camel covers families.
Vary construction, not just subject
A flat two-plane flag design, a sculpted relief khanjar and a layered three-plane desert scene give three different manufacturing costs and therefore three shelf prices.
Hold a common colour discipline
Every design in the range is locked to Pantone references so the five pieces look like a family rather than five separate purchases.
Protect the fine detail
The khanjar filigree is the hardest element in the range. It is moulded as raised line work at a depth that survives handling.

Manufacturing and Supply Chain
Artwork
Reference photographs of the khanjar, the turtle beaches and the desert scenes converted into mould drawings.
Drawing approval
Relief depth and minimum feature widths confirmed before tooling, especially on the filigree.
Tooling
Five moulds, planned as one tooling batch rather than five separate jobs.
Production
10 to 15 days at MOQ of 5,000 pcs per design.
Packing
Bulk bagged for bin display, or carded where the retailer needs barcoded hang stock.
What the Range Delivers
Five designs that cover heritage, nature, desert and family buyers, at three distinct manufacturing costs, and that hold together visually as one Oman rack.
Why It Is Worth Structuring This Way
A single-country range deep enough to look intentional on a shelf, tooled in one batch so the per-design cost is lower than adding designs one at a time.
Client names, order values and delivery dates are not published. The 2016 rich-gifts.cn site carried no case studies, so this page describes how the range in our own catalogue is structured rather than attributing it to a named customer.
More Range Structures
Chile Destination Souvenir Range
Build one national range that lets a wholesaler supply shops from the desert to Patagonia without shipping designs to places where they will not sell.
Gulf Destination Magnet Range
Produce a Gulf range where the landmark designs hold their architectural detail and the camel designs are distinctive enough not to blur into every competing rack.
Rooster Year Zodiac Collection
Build a collection deep enough to fill a seasonal display without tooling eighteen separate moulds, and structure it so a buyer can hit several price points from the same programme.
Oman Destination Programme Questions
Can this approach be applied to another country?
Yes. The method is the useful part: split the range by visitor type, vary the construction so you get several price points, and lock the colours so the range holds together.
How many designs make a credible country range?
Five is a working minimum for a single destination. Eight to twelve fills a rack properly if the shop sells that country exclusively.
Build a Range Like This
Tell us the destination or the season, how many designs you need and the date. We will propose a range structure with the tooling quoted as one programme.
