40W Zoomable LED Track Light

The CH-GD16P40 is a 40W zoomable LED track light designed for commercial interiors where adjustable beam angles and consistent colour rendering are required. It operates on 220-240VAC, delivers 3200 lumens at 80lm/w, and uses a CREE LED chip with CRI above 90, ensuring accurate colour reproduction on retail displays and architectural surfaces. The head rotates 355 degrees horizontally and tilts 90 degrees vertically, allowing re-aiming after installation. The beam angle is adjustable from 15 to 60 degrees and is set at production. Dimming is optional via Triac or DALI and must be specified at order. The adapter is available in 2, 3 or 4 wire versions to match existing track systems.

Who It Is For

Buyers And Applications

Who Buys It

  • Lighting importers sourcing commercial track lights for retail and hospitality markets
  • Electrical wholesalers needing 2, 3 and 4 wire options from a single supplier
  • Lighting designers specifying beam angle and dimming per zone in a Dialux layout
  • Shopfitting contractors installing track systems with fixed handover dates
  • Hospitality FF&E buyers replacing halogen track lights with LED equivalents

Where It Is Used

  • Retail stores where product colour must match catalogue images and in-store lighting
  • Showrooms requiring a 15 to 24 degree beam for spotlighting vehicles, furniture or displays
  • Supermarkets and boutiques needing general wash lighting with 45 to 60 degree beams
  • Hotel lobbies and reception areas where fittings are re-aimed for seasonal or event-based layouts
  • Villas and private residences with high ceilings requiring focused beam control
Problems It Solves

What Goes Wrong Without It

  • Halogen track lights that consume far more power for the same visual brightness
  • Low-CRI LED spots that make red, brown and natural materials appear dull or grey
  • Fixed beam fittings that cannot be re-aimed after installation when layouts change
  • Cheap drivers that flicker on camera or fail prematurely in warm ceiling voids
  • Mismatched adapters when upgrading from old track systems to new fixtures
Technical Features

How It Is Built

  • CREE LED chip with CRI above 90 for accurate colour rendering in commercial spaces
  • Lifud flicker-free constant current driver with DC30-40V 950mA output

Manufacturing And Quality

How It Is Made And Checked

Manufacturing Process

  • Aluminium extrusion cut and machined to the CH-GD16P40 heatsink profile
  • Powder coating in house to ensure consistent colour batch to batch
  • LED board mounted and thermally bonded to the extrusion
  • Lifud driver wired and the adapter fitted to the ordered wire count
  • Optic and beam angle lens fitted per order
  • Aging test on an automatic aging line before packing

Quality Control

  • Incoming inspection of LED chips, drivers and extrusions before assembly
  • Photometric testing to confirm lumen output and colour temperature
  • Temperature testing on the assembled fixture
  • Aging test on one of two automatic aging lines
  • Reliability testing before the batch is released
  • 100% inspection of every fixture before shipment

Comparison

How It Compares With The Alternatives

Halogen track spotlightDraws 40W against several times that for similar visual output, but the initial fixture cost is higher
Fixed beam LED track lightAdjustable beam angle allows one fixture to serve multiple lighting roles, but requires more setup time at production
Recessed COB downlightSurface-mounted and re-aimable, better for changing layouts, though it is visible rather than flush in the ceiling
Integrated linear rail systemsIndividually aimed heads give sharper accent control, but need more setting out on site
Use Guide

Before You Order And Before You Install

  • Confirm the installed track is 2, 3 or 4 wire before ordering the adapter
  • Use 15 to 24 degrees for accent lighting on merchandise and 45 to 60 degrees for general wash
  • Mount the rail 2.8 to 3.5 metres above the floor for typical commercial ceiling heights
  • Group heads on the same circuit if you plan to dim them together
  • Specify Triac or DALI at order because dimming is not field-retrofittable
  • Ask for a Dialux calculation before finalising head count and spacing
FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

What beam angles can I order for this track light?

15 to 60 degrees. The beam angle is set at production. Specify the mix per container when placing the order.

Does it work on my existing track?

The adapter is available in 2, 3 and 4 wire versions. Send a photo of the rail end and adapter, and we will confirm compatibility before production.

Is it dimmable?

Yes, Triac and DALI versions are both available and must be specified at order. The standard version is not dimmable.

What CRI and lumen output can I expect?

CRI above 90 with 3200 system lumens at 40W, which is 80 lumens per watt at fixture level.

Which certifications do you hold?

Our fixtures are certified to CE, RoHS, CCC and CQC, and the factory is certified to ISO 9001:2015.

Can you make an OEM version with our housing colour?

Yes. We run our own powder coating plant, so housing colour changes are done in house. We can send a 3D drawing in 2 days and a mock-up sample in 3 days.

Can you supply photometric files for our lighting design?

Yes, we supply IES files and can run Dialux calculations for your layout.
