Industrial Rubber Rollers

Rubber covered rollers made for the transport and surface contact positions inside production machinery. The range covers printing rollers, paper rollers, paper feed rollers and twist rollers, with covering compounds in EPDM, silicone rubber, PU rubber and SBR selected for the surface the roller touches and the conditions it works in. Beyond those, the same approach applies to conveyor rollers used to move products or raw materials and to coating rollers used to apply coatings or laminates. Rollers are installed directly into the machinery or equipment and are built to need minimal maintenance, which is the point of the exercise in a continuous production line.

Specifications are configured per project. Send your drawing, capacity or duty requirement and the build will be confirmed in writing with the quotation.
Why It Works

Key Benefits

Covering compound chosen per duty so a printing roller and a paper feed roller are not asked to share one specification

Correct surface grip stops paper slipping or skewing on feed, which is the usual cause of a jam

Low maintenance construction reduces the downtime a roller change costs in a running line

Coating rollers laid up for an even film avoid the streaking that scraps coated web

Rollers made to the existing shaft and journal dimensions drop into the machine without modification

Problems

Problems It Solves

A worn or wrong hardness cover slips and the paper feed misregisters or jams

Covering compound attacked by inks solvents or cleaning agents fails long before the roller should be changed

Uneven coverings produce streaks and scrap in coating and laminating work

Rollers made to the wrong journal size need machine modification before they can be fitted

Frequent roller replacement in a continuous line costs more in stoppages than in parts

FAQ

Industrial Rubber Rollers FAQ

Which roller types can you supply

Printing rollers, paper rollers, paper feed rollers and twist rollers, along with conveyor rollers for moving products or raw materials and coating rollers for applying coatings or laminates.

Which covering materials are available

EPDM, silicone rubber, PU rubber and SBR, selected for the surface the roller touches and the conditions it works in.

Can you recover our existing roller cores

Send the roller or its drawing and the covering will be built to the same shaft and journal dimensions so it fits the machine as before.

How do I choose the covering hardness

Tell us the material being handled and the nip conditions, or supply a sample roller, and the hardness is set against that.

How are the rollers installed

They are fitted directly into the machinery or equipment, which is why the journal and shaft dimensions have to be taken from the machine.

What is the lead time for a covered roller

It depends on the covering material, the roller size and whether the core is supplied, and it is confirmed in writing with the quotation.
