FAQ
AD100 is the compact general purpose drive. AD350 is the small vector control drive with a richer terminal and option card set. AD800 is the high performance model with open loop vector, closed loop vector and torque control, and is the one used where low speed torque, fast dynamic response and a wide speed range matter.
Yes. The AD series implements current vector control for both induction motors and permanent magnet synchronous motors. AD800S is the version specifically for PMSM energy saving, and the AS850 servo drives handle PMSM in spindle and injection moulding duty.
SD350 and SD800 are the sealed IP54 versions of the drive for exactly that. For outdoor solar installations there is a separate IP65 solar pump inverter.
It depends on the installation. Long motor cables usually want a dv/dt or sine wave filter, sites with EMC limits want input and output EMC filters, and higher power drives benefit from an AC or DC reactor for harmonic reduction. All of these are listed under peripheral equipment.
