Where It Goes Wrong and What We Do About It
Choose the Machine
Buying too large wastes capital and buying too small caps the order book.
MITO-80 prints 800 x 800 x 120 mm on 900 W and suits letters to around 32 inch. MITO-120 prints 1200 x 1200 x 120 mm on 1800 W for 48 inch work and for nesting whole letter sets.
Check the Power and the Floor
An electrical upgrade discovered after delivery delays the start.
Machines are supplied at 110 V or 220 V and 50 or 60 HZ for your market. MITO-80 is 900 W and 140 kg net, MITO-120 is 1800 W and 220 kg net.
Unpack the Accessory Package
A new workshop stops on day one for a part it did not know it needed.
Every machine ships with a filament dryer, WiFi driver, 2 bottles of platform glue, 5 black steel nozzles, a dongle, Allen keys, a mini wrench, a hotend, temperature control lines, nozzle heaters and a proximity sensor.
Stock the Material
Running out of one colour mid job stops a whole letter set.
Start with translucent white for faces and opaque black for returns, then add colours as the order book demands. Minimum order is one roll, so stock can grow with demand.
Stock the Lighting
Signs finished but unlit cannot be invoiced.
6500 K standard white in 100 meter rolls covers most work. Add warm white for hospitality and RGB where colour changing is sold as an upgrade.
Train the Operators
New equipment sits idle while staff learn it.
Video tutorials and an operation manual cover the machine and the slicing software, and online meetings are available for anything that needs screen sharing.
Plan for the Second Machine
Growth usually arrives before the space for it does.
A two layer shelf carries two MITO-80 machines, or a MITO-120 above a MITO-80, in one floor footprint.
Set Up Support
