Project Challenge
On a fabricated letter that outline is a plastic trim cap pushed around the face. It is fitted by hand, it discolours at a different rate from the acrylic, and it is usually the first visible defect.

Our Solution
The trim was defined as a second colour in the slicing file and printed as part of the face, so the finished letter has no trim cap component at all.
Manufacturing Process
- Letterform and trim path defined as separate layers in the artwork
- Two colour face configured in the Iroga 3D slicing software
- Letter front side and back printed on the sign printer
- Front and back parts glued together, both exported from the same file so they match
- Frontlit LED strip installed before closing
