50,000m³ Cold-Chain Logistics — Wuhan Xinpu Fruit

Cold Chain Logistics Warehouses Built Around Throughput

A distribution cold store is judged on pallet movements, not on storage volume. Dock design, door speed and racking layout decide how much product moves per shift and how much cold air leaves with it.

Customer Pain Points

What Goes Wrong In Cold Chain Logistics Cold Storage

1

Dock losses on every movement

Each door cycle admits warm humid air. High-speed roll-up doors at 2.5 m/s with around 30% energy saving limit the exposure; on the Wuhan project 14 of them serve the dock line.

2

Mixed temperature requirements under one roof

Frozen, chilled and ambient-controlled goods in the same building need separate compartments and separate compressor staging, not one plant averaged across them.

3

Stock rotation and traceability

FIFO and FEFO control depends on the warehouse system knowing where every pallet is. Our Wuhan facility runs 5,800 automated double-deep pallet positions under WMS control.

4

Energy consumption at scale

At 50,000 m3 the refrigeration bill dominates operating cost. Compressor staging, defrost scheduling and 400+ logged sensors let the operator see where it goes.

Our Scope

What Howcool Delivers On These Projects

  • Multi-temperature chamber layout with independent plant per zone
  • Dock design, dock levellers and high-speed door selection
  • Automated pallet racking integrated with the building structure
  • PLC building control with WMS integration and sensor logging
  • Anti-frost-heave floor heating under freezer slabs
  • Phased construction so an operating site stays live

Answers

Cold Chain Logistics Cold Storage Questions

How long does a cold-chain warehouse take to build?

Our 3,000 m2 logistics warehouse was completed in 90 days. The two-stage 50,000 m3 Wuhan project took 90 days for Stage I and 50 days for Stage II.

Can you phase construction so we keep operating?

Yes. Phased handover is standard on expansion projects; the Wuhan client operated throughout Stage II.

Do you integrate with our warehouse management system?

Yes. The PLC building control system can pass door, dock and task data to the client's WMS, as delivered on the Wuhan project.
