Tianjin Port 5,000-ton Cold Storage

Tianjin Port 5,000-ton Cold Storage

75m × 20m × 10m port cold storage. Insulation panels + doors + refrigeration + remote monitoring.

Project Overview

Background And Requirement

Tianjin Port is one of China's largest seaports and a major hub for imported frozen seafood, meat, and processed food. This 5,000-ton cold storage was built for a trading company handling container imports directly from the quay, requiring immediate cold-chain handling to preserve product integrity during customs clearance and distribution.

Building footprint: 75m × 20m × 10m high (15,000 m³). Interior is divided into two zones: a main -18 to -25℃ deep-freeze zone (4,500 tons) and a -5 to 0℃ chill zone (500 tons) for products that cannot tolerate deep freezing. Four high-speed roll-up doors at the loading bay enable rapid turnaround of refrigerated trucks.

The facility integrates seamlessly with Tianjin Port's customs processing — inspection bays, refrigerated holding areas, and warehouse management are all PLC-monitored, with data exchange directly to the port's electronic customs system.
