IQF Impingement Freezer

IQF Quick Freezing Systems From 300 to 6000 kg Per Hour

Drip loss and texture damage

High-velocity impingement and fluidised airflow freeze individual pieces quickly enough to keep ice crystals small.

Floor space

Self-stacking and spiral freezers put a long belt into a small footprint — 500 to 4000 kg/h and 1000 to 6000 kg/h respectively.

Line balance

Tunnel freezers from 300 to 5000 kg/h sized to the throughput of the line feeding them.

Answers

IQF Quick Freezing System Questions

Which IQF freezer suits my product?

Loose, uniform products such as peas, berries and shrimp suit fluidised tunnels. Flat items such as fillets and patties suit impingement. Mixed or delicate products and high hourly volumes usually go to spiral or self-stacking spiral freezers.

What capacity range is available?

300 to 5000 kg/h on tunnel freezers, 500 to 4000 kg/h on self-stacking spirals and 1000 to 6000 kg/h on spiral freezers. All models are sized to the customer's line.

Which refrigerant is used on IQF systems?

Ammonia (NH3), R404A or CO2 cascade depending on plant size and local refrigerant rules.

Are the freezers designed for hygienic washdown?

The spiral freezer range uses EHEDG-compliant design for food-contact hygiene and cleaning.
