PU PIR EPS and Rockwool Cold Room Panels From 50 to 200mm
Insulation is the only part of a cold store that works 24 hours a day without consuming power. Panel thickness and joint quality set the refrigeration load for the life of the building.

All 6 Cold Room Panels Products
Thin panels and poor joints move cost from the build budget to the electricity bill, then to frost heave under the floor slab.

PU / PIR Cold Room Panels
Cam-Lock and Plug-in sandwich panels with polyurethane core and color-coated steel. 15-20 year lifetime.
PIR Fire-Rated Cold Room Panels
Polyisocyanurate (PIR) sandwich panels with B1-grade fire rating. Required for food processing, pharma and high-fire-risk applications.
Rockwool Fire-Wall Cold Room Panels
Mineral rockwool sandwich panels with A2-grade non-combustible rating. Used for fire-wall separations and high-risk industrial applications.
Embossed Aluminium Floor Panels
Walkable cold-storage floor panels with embossed aluminium tread surface. Forklift-rated insulation for cold room floors.
Blast Freezer & Low-Temp Panels
Heavy-thickness panels for blast freezers, IQF rooms and ultra-low-temperature applications down to −40°C.

Plug-in Modular EPS Panels
Cost-effective modular EPS panels with tongue-and-groove joints. Ideal for small commercial cold rooms and quick installations.
Typical Buyers Of This Equipment
- New-build cold stores choosing wall, roof and floor build-up
- Fire-regulated sites needing PIR or rockwool cores
- Blast freezer and low-temperature rooms below minus 30 degrees
- Modular projects that need plug-in panels installed by a local crew
Heat ingress that never stops
Polyurethane panels with low thermal conductivity in thicknesses from 50 to 200 mm; on our Jeddah design, 150 mm cut summer heat ingress by over 40% against 100 mm.
Fire compliance
PIR fire-rated and rockwool fire-wall panels for sites where the insulation core has to meet building fire codes.
Frost heave under the slab
Embossed aluminium floor panels and insulated floor build-ups with anti-frost-heave heating for freezer rooms.

Cold Room Panels Questions
What panel thickness do I need?
As a working rule, chillers around 0 to 5 degrees use 75-100 mm, freezers at minus 18 to minus 25 degrees use 100-150 mm, and blast freezers or hot climates use 150-200 mm. Final thickness comes out of the heat-load calculation for your site.
What is the difference between PU, PIR, EPS and rockwool?
PU gives the best insulation value per millimetre, PIR adds fire performance, EPS is the lowest-cost option for moderate temperatures, and rockwool is used where a non-combustible fire wall is required.
Can panels be installed by our own local contractor?
Yes. Plug-in modular panels use cam-lock joints designed for site assembly, and Howcool can send installation supervision for export projects.
