Background And Requirement
Wuhan Xinpu Fruit is a major Chinese cold-chain logistics operator serving the fruit and meat food sectors. To expand operational capacity, Howcool delivered a two-stage 50,000 m³ cold-chain logistics centre — one of the largest privately-owned cold stores in Hubei province.
Stage I (90 days) delivered the primary storage building — 35,000 m³ low-temperature freezer chambers with automated pallet racking, 6 loading docks, and fleet-management integration. Stage II (50 days) added a further 15,000 m³ of multi-temperature fresh-fruit storage (0 to +4℃) and a dedicated blast-freezing tunnel for inbound product.
The entire facility is managed by a PLC-based building control system that monitors 400+ temperature/humidity sensors, refrigeration load, door status, and energy consumption in real time. Integration with the client's WMS allows forklift drivers to receive route and task instructions directly on the door / dock.
