View Details →Problems This Family Solves
- Steel sleeves and valve trim erode within months when the fluid carries sand or catalyst fines
- Clearance between shaft and housing opens up as wear progresses and the seal starts to leak
- Parts bought with a large grinding allowance push the finished cost per piece up
- Acid alkali and sea water attack components that were selected on hardness alone
- Non-standard sizes are hard to source repeatably from one supplier
Who Buys These Parts
- Pump manufacturers specifying wear parts for submersible oil slurry and centrifugal pumps
- Valve makers replacing steel or coated trim that is failing inside warranty
- Petrochemical maintenance teams reordering replacement sleeves against an existing drawing
- Distributors of oilfield spares who need the same part made the same way each time
Why These Parts Hold Up
- Pressed on an imported press and sintered in an over-pressure furnace, so density is stable and porosity is closed
- Regular pressed geometry with a small margin on boundary dimensions means less grinding for the buyer
- Grade selected against the fluid and the load rather than sold as one universal material
- A full set of existing moulds shortens the cycle on repeat and near-standard shapes
- Chemically stable against acid alkali alcohol ether hydrocarbons oil detergent and sea water
Typical Applications
- Shaft sleeves protecting pump shafts from abrasive slurry
- Bushes fitted on valve rod bonnets to reduce valve leakage
- Bearing bushes that stop clearance opening between shaft and seat
- Valve cores and seats in submersible oil pumps and injection valves
- Oil nozzles and specially shaped wear parts made to drawing
Industries That Use Tungsten Carbide Bushes and Sleeves
Pressed Sintered and Ground In House
Weighing In of Ingredients
Tungsten carbide powder and cobalt binder weighed to the grade formula.
Milling
Powders wet milled so the binder is evenly distributed through the mix.
Spray Drying
The slurry is spray dried into free-flowing granules that press consistently.
Testing
Granulate checked before it is committed to a press run.
Forming
Blanks pressed on imported presses from the mould for that part.
Sintering
Sintered at around 1450 degrees C in an over-pressure furnace to close porosity.
Machining
Ground and finished to the dimensions on the drawing.
Quality Control
Physical properties, shape and tolerance checked, then inspection photographs sent before delivery.
Tungsten Carbide Bushes and Sleeves FAQ
Can you make bushes to my own drawing?
Yes. OEM and ODM to customer drawings is the normal way this category is supplied, including specially shaped parts and matched core and seat pairs.
How long is the lead time?
Stock items ship 3-5 days after payment is received. Customised items are given a delivery time in the quotation.
Which grade should I choose for a slurry pump sleeve?
Send the fluid, solids content, temperature and pressure cycle. Lower cobalt grades such as YG6 give the best wear resistance in clean abrasive service; higher cobalt grades such as YG15 tolerate impact better.
Can I test a sample before ordering in bulk?
Yes. Samples are sold for pre-testing. Send the drawing and the service conditions and a sample can be quoted.
How are parts checked before shipping?
Physical properties, shape and tolerance are inspected before shipping, and detailed inspection photographs of the order are sent for confirmation before delivery.
Are you a manufacturer or a trading company?
A manufacturer in Zhuzhou, Hunan Province, China, producing tungsten carbide parts for over 15 years.
