The cheapest way to make a ceiling look designed is to keep the apertures consistent and vary the optics instead. Our families are built so that is possible.
How It Works
Each stage below happens in our own building in Jiangmen unless stated otherwise.
Ceiling Survey
Ceiling height, plenum depth and construction decide which bodies will physically fit.
Why it matters: A 60 mm deep mini head and a 116 mm deep spotlight have very different requirements.
Aperture Ladder
Pick the cutout sizes for the project from the standard ladder: Ø35, Ø45, Ø55, Ø65, Ø75 and Ø95 mm, or 55 to 95 mm square.
Why it matters: The ceiling contractor cuts two or three hole sizes for a whole building instead of eight.
Beam Allocation
Assign narrow beams to displays and vertical surfaces, wide beams to circulation and general areas.
Why it matters: Contrast comes from beam choice rather than from over-lighting the whole space.
Trim Decision
Choose bordered or trimless per zone, using matched models of the same cutout.
Why it matters: Public areas can go trimless while back of house stays serviceable.
Finish Schedule
Fix body colour and reflector finish per zone in writing.
Why it matters: Repeat orders and spares match the original installation.

Where does this happen?
In our own 3000 m² facility in Hetang Town, Pengjiang District, Jiangmen, Guangdong. The die-casting workshop, assembly and the lighting laboratory are in the same building.
How long has the company been doing this?
YiYo Lighting was established in 2009 and has concentrated on commercial lighting research and production since then.
Can we start from an existing model?
Almost always. With 70 catalogue models across four families, most requirements are met by selecting a model and specifying the beam angle, reflector finish, body colour and trim.
