Solar Street Light Maintenance Checklist
The short list of checks that keeps installed solar street lighting performing, built around the components that actually degrade.
Why Solar Lighting Still Needs a Maintenance Plan
Solar street lighting removes the cable and the meter but it does not remove the panel, the battery and the housing. Those three components are what the maintenance plan should cover, and all three degrade silently rather than failing outright.
Keep the Panel Surface Clear
Dust, leaves and bird deposits reduce the energy reaching the cells, which shortens autonomy before it dims the light. Clean the panel surface on a schedule that matches the site, more often on dusty industrial and roadside locations.
Check Panel Orientation After Storms and Yard Changes
The panel should face the direction that gives the longest daily sun exposure. On yards where stock moves, and after high winds, confirm the panel is still both correctly angled and unshaded.

Watch for Shortening Autonomy
The first symptom of battery ageing is a light that runs fewer hours towards dawn, not a light that fails. We size systems for at least three days of backup in cloudy weather, so a unit that no longer bridges a cloudy period is telling you something about its battery.
Inspect the Housing and Mounting Hardware
Check mounting bracket torque after the first season of service and inspect the housing for finish damage or seal failure. Housings specified as IP65 or IP66 rely on intact seals, and a coastal or tropical site will find any weakness quickly.
Keep the Model Number With the Asset Record
Record the model number and the order date against each pole position. Warranty and spare part questions are answered far faster when the model reference comes with the enquiry.
Models Referenced in This Guide

Solar Street Light XL-ZYS-T500
XL-ZYS-T500 is the mid size all-in-one unit, the model most often quoted when a buyer wants one product to cover the majority of positions in a residential road project and only a few special positions elsewhere..
View ProductSolar Street Light XL-ZYS-G600
XL-ZYS-G600 covers residential scale streets where an industrial unit would be more than the road needs.
View ProductSolar Street Light XL-CK-150
XL-CK-150 is the compact unit in the range, aimed at pathways gardens and low traffic areas where a full road luminaire would be oversized and over budget.

How often should panels be cleaned
It depends on site dust levels. Roadside and industrial installations need cleaning more often than residential streets, and the schedule should be set from what the panel actually looks like after the first few months.
How do I know a battery is ageing
Run time shortens towards dawn before anything else changes. A unit that no longer carries through a cloudy period has lost capacity.
What should I check after a storm
Panel orientation, mounting bracket torque, and the housing for impact or seal damage.
What information do you need for warranty support
The model number and the order date. Send both on WhatsApp with a photo of the fault and we will handle it from the factory.
Put This Into a Quotation
Send your site or store details and we will apply these criteria to your actual project.
