LED Track Light Beam Angle and Colour Temperature Guide
How beam angle and colour temperature interact in a real installation, with the ranges available across the X-LUZ track range.
Two Settings Decide Most of the Result
Once wattage is fixed, beam angle and colour temperature do most of the work in an interior. Beam angle decides where the light lands. Colour temperature decides how the surface it lands on reads. Getting either wrong is visible from across the room.
The Beam Angles Available
The range covers 15 to 45 degrees on the zoomable ceiling spotlight, 24 degrees fixed on the XL01 accent head, and 24 to 60 degrees on the XL04 zoomable track head. Narrow angles isolate an object. Wide angles cover a surface. A zoom lets one fixture do both as the display changes.
The Colour Temperatures Available
Selectable models step through 2700K soft white, 3000K warm white, 3500K neutral white, 4000K cool white and 5000K daylight. The XL02 offers 3000K 4000K and 5000K. The XL01 is supplied in 3000K or 4000K. The LPTRL project series covers 2700K 4000K and 6500K with a CCT adjustable option.

Choosing the Combination
Warm temperatures with narrow beams suit galleries hotels and restaurants, where a tight pool of 2700K or 3000K light reads as deliberate. Cooler temperatures with wider beams suit supermarkets and technical retail, where 4000K or 5000K across a broad area reads as clean and legible.
Do Not Forget Aiming
Every head in the range rotates 350 degrees horizontally and 90 degrees vertically. That range is what lets a venue change its display without changing its lighting, so leave the fixtures accessible when the ceiling is finished.
One Practical Rule
Set colour temperature by the room and beam angle by the object. Rooms rarely change temperature after handover, but objects move constantly, which is why the zoomable heads earn their place in spaces that reset often.

What beam angle suits artwork
24 degrees is the standard accent angle, and the zoomable spotlight goes down to 15 degrees when a single piece needs isolating.
Which colour temperature suits a restaurant
2700K or 3000K reads as warm and settled. The selectable heads let you try both on site before committing the whole room.
Can colour temperature be changed after installation
On the selectable models yes. The selector is on the fixture, so a head can be reset without being replaced.
How far can the heads be re-aimed
350 degrees horizontally and 90 degrees vertically across the range.
