Five Things That Ruin an Etching Run
Every one of these is a reason a plate gets scrapped mid-cycle, and every one is answered somewhere in the SGZ specification sheets.
Bubbles and scratches under the resist
Plate coated in a dusty shop prints pinholes. SGZ applies the blue photoresist in the factory and inspects it before the plate is packed.
Acid getting behind the plate
SGZ offers anti-acid painting or a peelable red film on zinc, and green anti-acid painting on magnesium, so the reverse face survives the bath.
Etch depth that changes between batches
The BS machines hold temperature between 15 and 30 degrees C, rotation up to 450 r/min and time up to 60 minutes, so the settings are repeatable.
Additive that was never tested against the plate
SGZ names the additive each of its plates is designed to run with, and sells both.
Counterfeit and second-hand plate
SGZ sells direct, has never appointed a marketing agent, uses only two email addresses and labels every package.
The SGZ works in Leping Town, Sanshui District, Foshan, Guangdong. Zinc and magnesium plate is manufactured in Guangdong and in Henan province.
