What Problem We Solve
Most Commissions Start With an Image Not a Drawing
Most sculpture commissions start with an image rather than a drawing. The buyer knows the height, the site and roughly the form, and needs someone to turn that into a fabricated, crated and delivered object at a known price. The workshop quotes from a photograph, states its production time on every listing, and packs in a wooden case for door to door delivery.

You Are Talking to the People Who Weld and Polish It
You are dealing with the shop floor that presses the hemispheres and polishes the weld, not with a trading company. Sizes are custom by default rather than by exception, production time is published as 35 to 45 days, and the projects on this site carry their real installed addresses so you can see the scale of work that has actually shipped.
Scheme Design
The form is worked out against the site: the environment sets the content, the proportion and the colour before any steel is cut. This is where a reference photograph becomes a buildable object.
Scale Model
Complex or large pieces are modelled small first, then scaled up. Large work also needs its internal support designed at this point, against the load, the dimensions and the shape it has to hold.
Mould
The model is turned into a hard mould, normally plaster, which is what the steel is formed over.
Forging and Forming
The plate is forged to the mould to build the complete shell. The piece is then ground repeatedly and the surface is treated.
Surface Finish
Stainless steel is silver white and glossy in itself, and is left mirror or brushed, or sprayed to whatever colour the scheme calls for.
Installation
Final assembly is generally welded rather than bolted, which is more solid, and the skeleton of the piece carries it once it is standing.

What Buyers Ask Before a First Commission
Can you build from a photograph rather than a drawing?
Yes. The workshop states that it takes orders according to a photo or a drawing from the customer. Send the reference image, the height you want and where the piece will stand.
How large can a sphere be?
The company states stainless steel spheres from 25 mm to 10 m in diameter, and that it can produce metal balls of almost any size meeting your specification.
How long does production take?
The listings state 25 to 45 days depending on the piece. Sea freight sits on top of that, so plan backwards from the date it has to be standing.
