A Colour That Changes With Thickness

Translucent turquoise is neither green nor blue. It occupies the space where tropical shallows meet glacial ice. Unlike an opaque filament it plays with light, so thin sections glow with an aqua light while thicker layers build into a deeper teal. A single print can carry both effects.

Colour Through the Material

The colour is not applied to the surface. It is inherent to the material, which means it is consistent through the whole signage or model and cannot be scratched or peeled back to a different colour underneath.

Why PETG-S and Not PETG

PETG bridges the gap between the ease of PLA and the strength of ABS. PETG-S comes from PETG and keeps all of its good characteristics, then surpasses it on the one property signage needs most: a better light diffusing effect for illuminated signages, LED channel letters and other luminous objects.

Strength and Durability

PETG-S is tough, impact resistant and less brittle than PLA, so prints are functional and resilient rather than decorative only. Tensile strength is 50 MPa and Charpy impact strength is 7.9 KJ per square meter.

UV and Temperature Performance

It is UV resistant, so it can be used directly in strong sunlight without oxidation or colour fading, and it functions from 70 degrees down to minus 40 degrees.

Designing With It

Keep face wall thickness consistent across a letter set if you want an even tone, or vary it deliberately if you want depth within one piece. Test one letter with the intended LED colour temperature before committing a set, because turquoise shifts noticeably between warm and cold white.
