Aluminum Coil
Aluminum Coil
Painted and anodized aluminum coil in 3000, 4000, 5000 and 6000 series, 0.15 to 1.0 mm thick and 5 to 1500 mm wide.

Grades in This Family
Aluminum coil arrives already finished, which moves the finishing step out of your factory and removes a whole batch of rework. We supply painted coil and anodized coil across the 3000 to 6000 series families, so the alloy can be chosen for forming behaviour and the finish for the environment the part lives in.
Problems This Material Solves
- Parts are formed then painted, and every handling mark between the two steps becomes a reject
- An anodized finish is specified for an interior part where paint would have been cheaper
- The alloy is chosen for strength and then will not take the bend radius
- Colour varies between production batches because coil came from different sources
Who Buys It
Who This Family Is For
- Architectural panel and cladding manufacturers
- Lighting and luminaire makers
- Appliance and electronics trim producers
- Roll formers making finished profiles
Why Source It Here
What You Get That a Stock List Does Not Give You
Range Advantages
- Coil supplied already finished, so forming is the last step rather than the first
- Four alloy families available against both finishes
- 0.15 mm minimum gauge for light trim and reflector work
- Slit from 5 mm for narrow profile and edging stock
Typical Applications
- Painted panels and cassettes for facades and ceilings
- Anodized trim and bezels on visible product surfaces
- Reflectors and light fittings in thin gauge
- Roll formed edging and channel in finished coil

Aluminum Coil Questions
Which alloy series do you supply?
3000, 4000, 5000 and 6000 series, in both painted and anodized coil.
What thickness range is available in aluminum coil?
0.15 mm to 1.0 mm, with slit width from 5 mm to 1500 mm.
Should I specify painted or anodized?
Painted coil gives a wider colour range and a lower cost per square metre. Anodized coil gives a harder surface that is integral to the metal rather than a layer on top of it, which matters where the edge will be handled or abraded.
Can the coil be formed after finishing?
That is the normal way it is used. The alloy and temper have to be matched to the bend radius, which is part of the specification discussion before the order.
