Cold rolled carbon strip covers two very different jobs. DC01 to DC06 is a formability ladder, where each step up buys a deeper draw. HSLA 260 to 550 trades some of that formability for yield strength, so a part can be made thinner and lighter. We supply both, which means the choice can be made on the part rather than on what is in stock.

What is the difference between DC01 and DC06?
They are steps on the same cold rolled drawing quality ladder. DC01 is the commercial quality and DC06 is the extra deep drawing quality, so DC06 tolerates the deepest draws before it splits.
How thin can HSLA strip be supplied?
HSLA 260 to 550 runs from 0.40 mm to 1.0 mm. The DC01 to DC06 grades go thinner, from 0.05 mm to 1.0 mm.
Can I get HSLA in the same width as the DC grades?
Yes. Both families are slit from 5 mm to 1500 mm.
Is cold rolled carbon strip supplied annealed?
The DC grades are supplied anywhere from annealed to full hard. HSLA 260 to 550 is supplied annealed.
