Custom Slitting and Thin Gauge Supply
Mill coil comes in mill widths. Presses and roll formers run something else. Everything between those two facts is either scrap or a slitting plan, and slitting from 5 mm is where most of the saving on narrow parts actually comes from.

How This Works Stage by Stage
Each stage is a place where coil orders normally go wrong, and what we do differently there.
Developed Width
The problemStrip is ordered at a round number and then trimmed, or the profile is developed after the coil is bought.
How we handle itWe start from the developed width of your section or the strip your die needs, and slit to that rather than to a catalogue size.
Slit Plan
The problemA full width coil yields badly when the part is narrow, and the skeleton goes out as scrap at scrap prices.
How we handle itWe plan the mults across the mill width so the yield is worked out before the coil is committed, not after.
Thin Gauge Handling
The problemBelow about 0.3 mm coil set, edge wave and burr decide whether a line runs, and ordinary handling marks the strip.
How we handle itThin gauge coil is slit and wound with that in mind, and flatness and edge condition are checked before the coil is wrapped.
Coil Format
The problemA coil that does not fit the decoiler gets rewound on site or handled twice.
How we handle itInner diameter, maximum coil weight and winding direction are set to your equipment as part of the order.
