One Stop Sourcing For Socks Gloves And Base Layers

Most brands end up with one factory for socks, another for gloves and a third for base layers, and then spend the season reconciling three quality standards and three shipping schedules. HICON manages a network of vetted long-term partner factories so that all of it runs through one development team and one QC protocol.

Stage By Stage

Every Step And The Problem It Removes

Each stage below exists because something goes wrong when it is skipped. The problem is stated first, then what we actually do about it.

  1. Requirement Analysis

Categories, volumes and target prices are spread across different emails and different suppliers.

One brief covering every category, answered with which partner factory carries the right machinery for each and what is realistic at your volume.

  2. Factory Selection

A factory that is excellent at socks is rarely any good at seamless knitting or shell construction.

We route each category to a partner factory already vetted for that technology, with social compliance status confirmed before work starts.

  3. Development And Sampling

Sample rounds stall when a factory cannot read a technical pack in English.

Our team translates the pack into production terms, runs the sample rounds and reports back in one thread rather than three.

  4. Material Certification

Recycled and responsible wool claims get rejected at compliance review because the material route was never certified.

GRS 4.0 and RWS 2.2 Intertek scope certificates are in place at Shanghai Hicon Industrial Co., Ltd, and the certified route is set before bulk yarn is booked.

  5. Production

Problems found at final inspection are problems found too late.

A mandatory mid-term inspection happens while the line is still running, so corrections cost a day rather than a season.

  6. Final Inspection

Factories inspecting their own output rarely fail themselves.

The final inspection is carried out by the HICON team before shipment, on every single order.

  7. Consolidation And Shipping

Separate shipments from separate suppliers arrive at different times and break the merchandising plan.

Categories are consolidated into one shipment plan so the wall can be built as designed.

  8. Post Season Review

The same defect returns next season because nothing was written down.

Findings feed back into the approved technical pack so the next run starts from what was learned.

FAQ

FAQ About One Stop Outdoor Accessory Sourcing

Do you own the factories?

No. HICON manages a network of long-term partner factories, all vetted and certified to BSCI, GRS and RWS standards. That is what lets us cover five product categories properly instead of one.

How many categories can you carry at once?

Performance socks, merino wool base layers, seamless sportswear, ski gloves and knitted headwear. Consolidating them is the point of the model.

Who is accountable if an order goes wrong?

HICON. The inspections are ours, the technical pack approval is ours, and the shipment plan is ours.
