What RWS Verifies

Responsible Wool Standard certification means we source wool that is ethically produced, with animal welfare and sustainable land management at farm level. The certification verifies that the wool used in our products is traceable and produced with respect for animal rights and environmental stewardship.

Global Recycled Standard

What GRS Verifies

The Global Recycled Standard guarantees that our products contain recycled content, produced in an environmentally responsible and socially compliant manner. It is a chain of custody standard, so the recycled material is tracked through every processing stage rather than certified only at the end.

Quality Protocol

Inspection On Every Single Order

  1. Technical Pack Approval

    Blend, gauge, construction and tolerances written down and signed off before yarn is booked.

  2. Production Sample

    A sample from the actual production line, not a handmade prototype, is approved before bulk runs.

  3. Mid-Term Inspection

    Mandatory on every order. Carried out by the HICON team while the line is still running so corrections are still cheap.

  4. Final Inspection

    Mandatory on every order. Carried out by the HICON team before the goods ship, against the approved pack.

  5. Documentation

    Scope and transaction documentation prepared per shipment for certified content.

What is the difference between a scope certificate and a transaction certificate?

A scope certificate approves the organisation and the product categories it may certify. A transaction certificate proves a specific shipment actually contained the certified material. Compliance teams normally want both.

Partner factories are vetted and certified with BSCI standards and are open to third-party audits and inspections.
