Private Label Sock And Accessory Programs For Retailers

A private label program is judged on repeatability. The second delivery has to be identical to the first, the certificate has to survive a compliance audit, and the margin has to hold. Those are documentation and inspection problems more than they are knitting problems.

Pain Points

What Slows These Programs Down

  • Second production runs that do not match the first
  • Compliance teams rejecting sustainability claims with no transaction certificate
  • Supplier turnover that resets quality every season
  • No single point of accountability when something goes wrong
What You Need

What A Supplier Has To Provide

  • Approved technical packs that survive between seasons
  • Valid scope certificates for certified content claims
  • Social compliance audits on the producing factories
  • One accountable contact across all categories

How We Work

The Program Sequence For This Buyer

  1. Specification

Blend, construction and tolerances written down and approved so the next run has a reference.

  2. Compliance

Scope certificates and BSCI audit status confirmed before the program is signed off.

  3. Pilot Run

First production inspected mid-term and final, with findings written back into the pack.

  4. Repeat Runs

Subsequent runs are measured against the approved pilot, not against a fresh opinion.

  5. Review

Post-season review of returns and complaints feeds the next specification.

Delivery Capability

What Happens Before Your Goods Ship

  1. Technical Pack Approval

Blend, gauge, construction and tolerances written down and signed off before yarn is booked.

  2. Production Sample

A sample from the actual production line, not a handmade prototype, is approved before bulk runs.

  3. Mid-Term Inspection

Mandatory on every order. Carried out by the HICON team while the line is still running so corrections are still cheap.

  4. Final Inspection

Mandatory on every order. Carried out by the HICON team before the goods ship, against the approved pack.

  5. Documentation

Scope and transaction documentation prepared per shipment for certified content.

FAQ

FAQ From Retail Private Label

How do you keep repeat runs consistent?

By writing the specification down at pilot stage and inspecting every subsequent run against it. The mid-term and final inspections are mandatory on every order, not just the first.

What compliance documentation can you provide?

Intertek scope certificates for GRS 4.0 and RWS 2.2 held by Shanghai Hicon Industrial Co., Ltd, and BSCI audit status on partner factories. Transaction certificates are issued per shipment where the program requires them.

Are your factories open to our own audit?

Yes. Our partner factories are open to third-party audits and inspections, which is part of how they get selected in the first place.
