Claim Definition
Marketing writes the claim before anyone checks whether it can be certified.
We start from what the standard actually allows on a sock or a base layer, then work back to the wording your hangtag can carry.
Standard Selection
GRS, RWS and RMS cover different fibres and get confused with each other.
Recycled polyester routes run under GRS 4.0. Responsible wool routes run under RWS 2.2. We map your blend to the right standard before yarn is sourced.
Material Sourcing
Certified yarn booked late costs more and delays the whole program.
The certified material route is confirmed at development stage, so bulk yarn is booked against a live scope certificate.
Blend Engineering
Recycled and responsible fibres behave differently on the machine than the virgin equivalents.
Blends are adjusted for knittability and durability so the certified version performs like the original, not worse.
Production Control

Which standards do you hold?
Global Recycled Standard 4.0 under Intertek scope certificate ITS-TE-00027792-GRS-02591200, and Responsible Wool Standard 2.2 under Intertek scope certificate ITS-TE-00027792-RAF-00038200. Both are held by Shanghai Hicon Industrial Co., Ltd and cover socks and hosiery in men's and women's apparel.
What materials are covered by the GRS certificate?
Recycled post-consumer polyester in blends with elastane, polyamide (nylon) and virgin polyester, in socks and hosiery for men's and women's apparel.
Do you work with fibres other than wool and recycled polyester?
Yes. We specialise in technical yarns including merino wool, hemp and recycled fibres. Certification coverage differs by fibre, so tell us the target and we will confirm what can be certified.
