Cost Budgeting

Cost Budgeting Built From Parameters Not Guesswork

A cold storage quotation that arrives as one number tells you nothing about what was left out. Ours is itemised, because the cheapest tender is usually the one that dropped the floor insulation.

  • Stage 03 of 6

Before budgeting starts we need the dimensions and parameters of the facility and its intended application. Different temperature ranges and usages produce genuinely different designs — a plus 4 degree produce chiller and a minus 25 degree freezer of identical volume are not comparable buildings.

The budget separates the envelope, the refrigeration plant, doors, electrical and control, installation and commissioning. That makes it possible to compare our scope against another supplier's line by line, instead of comparing two totals with different contents.

Where a decision changes the running cost — panel thickness, door type, compressor staging — we price the alternatives so the trade-off is visible at the point of decision.

Cost Budgeting Questions

Is the quotation itemised?

Yes. Envelope, refrigeration plant, doors, electrical and control, installation and commissioning are priced separately so scope can be compared line by line.

Can you price options?

Yes. Where a choice affects running cost — panel thickness, door type, compressor staging — we quote the alternatives.

What affects the price most?

Temperature band, volume, insulation thickness, automation level and site location. A freezer costs considerably more than a chiller of the same size.
