What The PIR Fire-Rated Cold Room Panels Does
PIR (Polyisocyanurate) sandwich panels offer superior fire resistance compared to standard PU panels — achieving B1 (China GB 8624) or Euroclass B-s2,d0 ratings. The PIR core is self-extinguishing and produces significantly less smoke and toxic gas during fire exposure, making it mandatory for food processing facilities, pharmaceutical clean rooms, and high-occupancy cold storage projects in many jurisdictions.
Howcool's PIR panels use 0.5-0.6 mm pre-painted galvanised steel facings (PVC, PVDF or PE coating) with continuous-foamed PIR core at 42-45 kg/m³ density. Standard thicknesses 50, 75, 100, 120, 150, 200 mm. Cam-lock joints for fast on-site assembly without adhesives or sealants on the joint face.
