The Short Version
A full ventilated airway buff line from fabric roll to finished wheel. The process starts with bias cutting, slitting and rolling on the CRA-500, followed by forming on the CRA-800 for 200 to 600 mm wheels or the CRA-300 iris machine for 100 to 250 mm wheels. The line continues with pressing on the CRA-600 and edge trimming on the CRA-700. All machines are designed for one operator and are used in buffing wheel factories across China.
Where It Goes Wrong
- Hand forming wheels leads to inconsistent ply spacing and uneven finish across shifts
- Manual folding and tying of fabric caps requires multiple workers per line
- Different suppliers for fabric, iron claws and plates cause mismatched tooling and setup delays
- Changing wheel structures such as weave or pleated designs requires new equipment and training
What Buyers Need
- A forming machine that maintains consistent wheel geometry across shifts
- Tooling compatible with 2 inch, 2.5 inch and 5 inch iron claws and round or hexagon hole plates
- A material supply chain that matches machine settings for fabric, sisal and iron components
- English language interface and training to align with machine control panels
Typical Situations
- A new airway buff line starting from fabric roll through cutting, forming, pressing and trimming
- An existing line expanding to produce 500 to 600 mm wheels for sheet metal polishing applications
- A wheel maker adding corrugated weave buffs using a CRA-360 alongside an existing airway line
- A pleated buff producer switching from hand folding to a fold and stitch machine with glue press
How The Work Runs
Step 1
Bias cutting, slitting and rolling on the CRA-500 to feed fabric into the former on the bias
Step 2
Forming on the CRA-800 for wheels with 200 to 600 mm outer diameter or on the CRA-300 iris machine for 100 to 250 mm wheels
Step 3
Pressing on the CRA-600 buffing polishing wheel pressing machine
Step 4
Edge and trim cutting on the CRA-700 buffs trim and edge cutting machine
Step 5
Sewing where required using an SG01M spiral stitch machine or a one metre long arm machine

The forming machines accept 2 inch, 2.5 inch and 5 inch iron claws and iron plates with round or hexagon holes. Send us your centre size.
Do you also sell the fabric and sisal?
Yes. Treated or untreated fabric, sisal cloth, poplin cotton fabric, iron plates and clinch rings are all supplied.
What output should we plan for?
The CRA-800 is rated up to 5000 pieces per day with one operator. Actual output depends on diameter, ply count and material.
What voltage is standard?
380 V three phase four wire, customisable for the destination market.
How do we get a quotation?
