Packing Crating and Worldwide Shipping
A sculpture that arrives scratched is a total loss, not a partial one, because a mirror surface cannot be repaired on site. Packing is therefore part of the build rather than an afterthought, and for irregular forms the crate is designed around the piece.
Stage by Stage
- Protective filmThe surface is most vulnerable between the polishing shop and the finished installation. Film goes on straight after finishing and stays on through packing, freight and installation.
- Inner packingHard packing materials mark a polished surface in transit vibration. Soft foam plastic goes directly against the surface before anything rigid touches the piece.
- Case constructionA standard box does not restrain an irregular sculptural form. Strong wooden or iron cases are built for the piece, with wooden stands and cradles under large diameters.
- DocumentationFreight forwarders and crane crews need weights and dimensions before the crate arrives. Crate dimensions, gross weights and cradle detail are supplied for planning.
- Approval before shipmentCorrecting a piece after it has crossed an ocean is not realistic. Photographs of the finished batch go out for approval before the balance is invoiced and the crate closes.
- Mixed shipmentsBuyers ordering several product families do not want several crates and several lead times. Mixed orders are crated together and quoted as one shipment from Shenzhen.

How are pieces packed?
Soft foam plastic inside, then a strong wooden or iron case. Large diameters sit on a wooden stand or cradle inside the case.
Do you handle the freight?
We ship from Shenzhen and supply crate dimensions and gross weights. Most buyers appoint their own forwarder from there.
When should the protective film be removed?
Once the piece is fixed in place and the site around it is clean.
Can several products ship together?
Yes. Mixed orders are crated together and quoted as one shipment with one lead time.
What are the payment terms?
T/T with 50 percent deposit and 50 percent balance before shipping, after the approval photographs.
