Stainless Steel Sculpture Buying Questions
Do you work from artist drawings?
Yes. Send the drawing with the intended size, grade and finish. We return shop drawings covering the base, the fixing and the lift points.
Is there a size limit on fabricated work?
Sculptural forms are made to any custom size. The practical limits are crating and the crane access at your site, which the drawings address.
Which grade for a public site?
304 inland, 316 coastal or where roads are salted. For a piece the public can touch we usually recommend a heavier wall as well.
How are irregular pieces crated?
Foam against the surface, then a case built around the actual form with a wooden cradle, rather than a standard box.
How long does a commission take?
15 to 30 days after the deposit is received, depending on size, complexity and finish.
