What We Actually Do

We work in sheet stainless steel. Blanks are cut, hemispheres are stamping press formed, halves are fitted and seam welded, and the weld is ground and blended until the joint no longer reads in a mirror surface. After that the piece is drilled and tapped where the drawing needs it, the pedestal or base plate is welded on, and only then does it go for final polishing or coating. Doing the metalwork before the finish is the reason our pieces do not arrive with scratches around the fixings.

Where the Range Came From

The catalogue grew out of what customers asked for rather than a product plan. Gazing spheres for gardens led to graded sphere runs for landscape schemes. Concave and convex mirror discs came from exhibition and interior work. Water drop and ripple pieces came from fountain projects and are built watertight with the flow tube fitted inside. VFX reference balls came from film crews who needed a chrome and grey pair that holds an accurate grey and a clean specular reflection.

Materials and Finishes We Keep

AISI 201, 304 and 316 in wall thicknesses from 1 mm to 6 mm. Carbon steel where a ball will be fully coated or sits inside a closed assembly. Standard finish is mirror polished; brushed and matt are alternatives. Colour comes from vacuum metallising, electroplating, or transparent and matt candy colour spray over a metallised base, which is why our coloured spheres still read as metal rather than as painted objects.

How We Work With Overseas Buyers

Most enquiries arrive as a photograph and a rough size. We come back with the grade and wall thickness we would build it in, a price and a lead time. For large commissions we issue shop drawings early so the groundworks package can be closed. Before the balance is invoiced we send photographs of the finished batch. Terms are T/T, 50 percent deposit and 50 percent balance before shipping.

What We Will Not Claim

We do not publish certification numbers, floor area, headcount or export country counts, because we have no published evidence to point you at. If your specification requires a certificate or a material test report, ask before you order and we will tell you plainly whether we can supply it for your batch.
