What this family is for
Everything in this family is a sensing unit rather than a complete instrument: 7-in-1 and 6-in-1 outdoor arrays, wired and wireless rain gauges, wind speed and direction sensors, single and multi-channel thermo-hygrometer transmitters, waterproof pool sensors, probe transmitters and ultrasonic tank level heads. They are bought for three reasons — as spares for an installed console, as extra channels on a growing site, or as the sensing half of an OEM build where the customer supplies the display. Channel assignment is by dip switch and follows the same 1-to-8 scheme as the consoles.
