A LoRa model is the answer to one question: the outdoor sensor is further from the console than a standard link can carry. Farm buildings, yard masts, vineyard blocks and large sites all hit this. Everything else — the console, the measured parameters, the cloud upload — matches the Wi-Fi family, so a customer moving from a standard model to a LoRa one is changing the link and nothing else. Band allocation differs by region and is confirmed per order.
