The Sensor Starts the Cycle

When organic waste is added, moisture is detected by the humidity sensor. The heater turns on and the composting tank heats up. Nothing is set on a timer: the machine responds to what is actually in the chamber.

Water Leaves First

Heating evaporates the water content in the organic waste, and it leaves to the atmosphere as water vapour through the exhaust system. Because organic waste contains 70 to 80 percent water, 70 to 80 percent volume reduction is achieved at this stage alone. This is the part most people underestimate: most of what a hauler moves is water.

Microbes Finish the Job

At the same time, TMK's special microorganisms decompose the organic waste into compost, and this happens within 24 hours. Between evaporation and decomposition, the machine reaches 85 to 90 percent volume reduction. The process is completely noiseless, because no crushing or grinding is involved.

What Comes Out

The end product is high quality compost at roughly 10 percent of the incoming volume. It works on the 3R principle of reduce, recycle and reuse, improves soil health, and is produced without adding sawdust or dosing microorganisms with every load.

Built for the Site It Sits On

Machines use stainless steel for the tank, shaft and mixing blade. Control is by PLC with an HMI touch screen. An overload function protects the machine if it is overfilled. Operation is odourless and noiseless with no harmful gases, which is what allows a machine to sit inside an occupied building.
