How loud are the household models in a kitchen
The TMK-5 motor runs below 49 decibels and the TMK-2 is specified at less than 42 dB. Both are quiet enough to run a full cycle while the kitchen is in use.
Is the output ready for plants
The TMK-2 is described as producing garden-ready fresh compost within 24 hours. The TMK-5 discharges dried organic fertilizer that can be used on garden plants. Output quality follows what you put in.
What voltage do they run on
The TMK-1 and TMK-5 are specified at AC220V 50Hz. The TMK-2 is rated AC220V 50Hz or 110V 60Hz, so it covers both common household supplies.
How much power does a cycle use
Rated power is 450W on the TMK-1, 500W on the TMK-2 and 650W on the TMK-5. The TMK-1 has an intelligent power saving mode that can save up to 50 percent electricity when run during off-peak hours.
Do I need to add microbes every time
No. On the TMK-1 and TMK-5 micro-organism is added about once a month, not with every load.
Can I put meat and bones in
The TMK-2 is described as handling fruit and vegetable leftovers, dairy products, cooked food, coffee grounds and even small bones. Keep plastics, metals, large bones and any non-organic material out.
