Steel Profiles and Forgings for Wind Power
Custom engineered forged components for turbine drivetrains towers and transmission structures.
What Goes Wrong in This Sector
- Drivetrain forgings carry loads that change continuously while the turbine runs
- Tower joints depend on flange flatness and through thickness properties
- Gear blanks distort during carburising if the heat treatment condition is wrong
What a Supplier Has To Get Right
- Gears, flanges, main shafts, couplings, transmission tower flanges and bearing blanks from one source
- Materials from the established wind power grade list
- Machining capacity for large diameters
What We Supply to Wind Power
Capability 1
Forged rings for gears in 42CrMo4, 34CrNiMo6, 18CrNiMo7-6 and 30CrNiMo8, for both case and through hardening applications.
Capability 2
Wind flanges with the strength to support and join tower sections, built to last throughout the life expectancy of the generator, plus flanges for transmission poles and towers for new generation, grid extension, maintenance and repair.
Capability 3
Main shafts able to withstand axial and radial loads that continuously change during operation, couplings for high torque and high speed transmission, and blanks for pitch, yaw and main hub bearings.
