ODM is for a product that does not exist yet, or exists but not the way you want to sell it. The risk in ODM is money spent on steel before anyone agrees what the part looks like, so we put the drawings first.
How It Runs Step by Step

Brief and reference
A sketch, a competitor sample, or a written spec. Whatever you have is enough to start.

3D drawings
Our designers turn the concept into 3D drawings. You approve the geometry before any tooling cost is committed.

Tooling
Injection tools are cut and tried out in our own workshop, so revisions do not queue behind a third party's schedule.

Sample and sign-off
A golden sample is signed by both sides and becomes the reference the QC team inspects against.

Production and inspection
Five inspection stages from incoming raw material to the pre-shipment sample, run to ISO procedure.

ODM Product Development Questions
How much does tooling cost?
It depends on part count, cavity count and geometry. We quote tooling after the 3D drawings are approved, because that is the first point where the cost is real rather than a guess.
Who owns the tooling?
Ownership is agreed in writing before the tool is cut. Say what you need at the drawing stage and it goes into the quotation.
Can you work from a competitor sample?
We can work from a reference sample to understand function and fit. We will not copy a protected design, and we will tell you if a feature looks like it carries that risk.
How long does ODM take?
Longer than the 30 day OEM lead time, because drawings, tooling and try-out come first. The schedule is quoted with the tooling once drawings are approved.
Do you do the packaging design too?
We supply the dieline and structural packaging. Graphic artwork comes from you or your designer.
What material can we specify?
PP and silicone are the most common for feeding and care items, cotton and muslin for bedding. Material selection is part of the drawing review.
